Citizens Bank of Kansas provides paid family leave—maternal and paternal—for newborns and adoptions.

Several years ago we also established a reserve account for paid time off—for emergencies without sufficient accrued time off. Staff can donate hours to this reserve account—often utilizing unused hours at the end of the year.

Continuing a tradition started by my dad, we use the family first philosophy—when you need to be there for family, that has priority. We’ll figure it out when you get back! It is still one of the most comforting things we can share in times of loss or illness:
